Zhejiang Provincial Government's West Lake Friendship Award awarding ceremony was held in Hangzhou on October 30,2018. Professor Hesketh has become one of the award-winning experts this year. Before the awarding ceremony, Zhejiang Governor, Yuan Jiajun met with the award-winning foreign experts. Vice Governor Wang Wenxu accompanied the meeting and presented awards to foreign experts.

The West Lake Friendship Award is the highest honor established by the Zhejiang Provincial Government to recognize the outstanding contributions of foreign experts in the economic and social development and personnel training of Zhejiang province. This year's West Lake Friendship Award featured on scientific and technological innovation and applied research and 50 foreign experts have won this award.
